We got up reasonably early and took a walk down to the beach for the customary photos before setting off about 10.00 for the drive to Port St Johns. Although cloudy, the weather wasn’t too bad and the drive there went through some pretty good scenery especially the closer we got to our destination. It took a bit longer to get there than it should do due to major road works in a few places but we were in no real hurry so was ok.
Port St John’s is at the end of a river estuary which flows into the Indian Ocean with some lovely views though not much of an accessible beach. The town is not great so pretty much like most of them in this section of the trip but as ever, has a lot of B&Bs / guest houses catering for us travellers. Our B&B wasn’t great…
