Day 27 – Yamba – 11 October 2017

My blog is now so far behind I can’t remember too many details anymore – so I’ll just do some pictures and try and remember what we saw or what happened on the day! To be fair, it has mostly been beaches, beaches and more beaches, so probably not that much to write about anyway! The scenery and beaches have been amazing but after a while the beaches do tend to start looking the same, unless they have some more distinctive features like cliffs or rocks or something!

It was drizzling but not cold as we made our way down the coast to Lennox Head and then Pat Morton’s Lookout, but eventually it cleared up and we had a nice long walk at the lookout, even spotting some whales!

We checked into the Yamba Sun Motel after going for a drive and doing all the sights – the beaches and viewpoints around Yamba. Once settled in we didn’t wait too long before going out again, starting at the The Bowlo for a drink – the place is absolutely huge and got quite busy after a while. We moved on for the $20 Steak & Drink Special at the Yamba Golf Club, where the kangaroos came to graze on the greens! The steak and drinks went down a treat and we spent a great time sitting outside, watching the sun set over a pretty green golf course, while keeping an eye on the kangaroos!

Yamba is probably not the most exciting place to spend a night, but it is pretty enough with enough eating and drinking options to satisfy most peoples requirements, and suited us just fine!
