Little Rock, Arkansas

Day 27 – Memphis to Little Rock

Little Rock was the hometown of Bill Clinton when he was a lawyer and became governor, and the town is quite Clinton crazy. We didn’t expect too much of Little Rock but it is a pleasant little town to spend a night in, with more than enough bars & restaurants to try out. There is a riverwalk of which parts were closed due to flooding, and we just walked around the town and saw as much as we could within walking distance.

The River Market area is very nice and contains a lot of restaurants and bars, but we were staying a bit further out, so ended up in Main Str for dinner and drinks. Cantina Cinco De Mayo Mexican Restaurant served us a lovely margarita and huge beer alongside some free chips and salsa before we moved on to Brewski’s for a bucket of beer, the world’s biggest nachos and some chicken tenders. We enjoyed Little Rock even though there isn’t THAT much to see and do – but then, we are easily pleased!
